A typical North Goa day

Most guests follow the coast from south to north, so the drive stays short and the day ends at the cliffs for sunset.

  1. Fort Aguada and Sinquerim — the 17th-century Portuguese fort above the Mandovi river mouth, with sea views from the ramparts.
  2. Candolim — a quieter beach, good for a coffee stop and a walk.
  3. Calangute and Baga — the busiest stretch, with water sports, shacks and shopping.
  4. Anjuna — rocky shoreline and cafes; the flea market runs on Wednesdays in season.
  5. Vagator and Chapora Fort — red laterite fort walls above Vagator beach; the best sunset stop of the day.

The order can be reversed, shortened or swapped for your own stops, such as a church, a spice plantation or a dinner reservation.

Tips for a North Goa tour

  • Start by 9 am. Calangute and Baga roads get busy from late morning, especially in December and January.
  • Plan your beach time. For water sports, keep a longer stop at Calangute or Baga and shorter fort visits.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for the climb at Chapora, and covered shoulders if you add a church.
  • Carry some cash for parking, entry fees and market stalls.

Is the price per person?

No. Prices are per vehicle, so a family or group shares one fare.

Can a big group do the tour together?

Yes. Tempo Travellers seat 12 to 26 and buses up to 45. See Tempo Traveller hire.
